Lingua Ignota

ERA invites Romanian artist Victoria Zidaru to conceive an independent project presented during the 60th Venice Art Biennale. It unfolds in two acts at two venues, featuring a performance and an immersive site-specific installation. The project is complemented by ‘Donate a Word’, a series of collective actions through pedagogy and participation that reflect on the relationship between healing, nature, and spirituality. Lingua Ignota emphasizes Victoria Zidaru’s artistic vision, which over the past four decades has reinvented and transcended historical textile art paradigms by integrating vegetal textures and olfactory elements with conceptual and sensuous elements.

Art Residency

The ERA Art Residency, in partnership with Valorizzazioni Culturali, offers residencies across distinct and culturally rich locations in Italy for artists, writers, musicians, and thinkers. The program features sites such as Palazzo Baldini in Città della Pieve and Venice’s Casa del Remer, with Ca’ Remiera situated on the scenic island of Pellestrina. The residency focuses on projects that actively engage with environmental issues and the local communities, providing participants with accommodation, studio space, and access to sustainability workshops, alongside opportunities for collaboration with local artisans.
