We are ERA - Eco Research Art
Art in Action
Shaping Sustainable Futures
At ERA, we are passionate about harnessing the transformative power of art to foster an environmental justice culture. Based in Italy, our charity is at the forefront of educating communities and influencing policymakers through strategic philanthropy that blends art with advocacy for social and health improvement.
Our journey started in 2022 with our Bloom and Leadership programs placing art at the heart of teaching eco-sustainable nutrition and its importance for mental health. Since November 2023, we've broadened our mission with art exhibitions, film programs, residencies, and commissions to promote equitable environmental sustainability.

"From the very first meeting, I found great satisfaction in seeing in the eyes of all the children a need to discover something new, a mental but also emotional openness towards a topic as unknown as education for healthy nutrition. I am very grateful for this precious opportunity and to be able to observe the positive impact on their daily lives with the hope of incorporating more and more of these elements for an even healthier life in the future."
Teresa Lutteroth, educator, collaborator of ERA
“I would like to be a footballer, but now I also want to be a chef, to teach many people to eat, to give them food and love like you do.”
J, 7 years old
“When I think about this (the ciambellone we made)… I dream that I am in space, flying, feeling happy, as if I am dreaming in my own world.”
Z, 10 years old
“The exhibition ‘Labor of Love' has been, for the community of Città della Pieve, a breath of fresh air: innovative artistic mediums for the town to convey extremely current messages and to invite every individual to active reflection. An engaging exhibition where the artwork itself, to be realized and achieve its purpose, requires the participation of its audience.”
Rebecca Rinalducci, art historian and researcher, collaborator of ERA
"A sun, a moon, a flower, a zucchini, the hug of a dog that loves to eat bananas. I’m very happy when I make this painting."
K, 4 years old
"The recipe I love (couscous), the mix of blue and yellow, the flowers convey peace to me. The emotion when I ate, surprised that I liked it..."
P, 6 years old
“The carrot family, mom, dad, daughter, and son. To be together forever. The salad of joy, so much joy with cucumber, lemon, carrots, watermelon."
Z, 5 years old
“The most beautiful emotion was to feel that the children come with you, that they follow you on this multidisciplinary journey, where food, the earth, art, and the body are imagined through different viewpoints."
Davide Tozzato, agricultural entrepreneur, volunteer for ERA.
"Thank you for this experience, those moments spent with the children have remained in my daily thoughts. What perhaps struck me the most is that from the moment they trust you, they express an affection, a love, a dedication towards the project that is extraordinary."
Alice Casana, illustrator, volunteer for ERA.
